About Us

Our Vision

The Idama Amurun Foundation was established on the powerful, time-honoured belief that charity and communal responsibility are the essential pillars of a thriving society.

In a world where these vital virtues of the Black race are increasingly marginalised, our founder, Mr Idama Amurun, recognised the urgent need to not just revive this celebrated value, but to instil it in the next generation.

We believe that by teaching and practising selfless service, we can transform charity and kindness from a fringe activity into a mainstream culture.

The Philosophy: One for All, All for One

Our foundation operates on an infallible ancient philosophy:

One good person is a blessing not only to their family and neighborhood but to the entire community and state.

Conversely, we recognise that a path of negativity can create a ripple effect of harm that extends far beyond an individual’s immediate sphere.

We are dedicated to reinstituting the powerful, pre-1990s mantra of “one for all and all for one.” Historically, a child’s upbringing was the concern of the entire community, which kept crime and criminality as a fringe phenomenon. By returning to this cooperative spirit, we can build environments where crime retreats and collective success dominates.

Our Mission: Charity Mentorship

The Idama Amurun Foundation is a movement for those who subscribe to this profound philosophy. Our core mission is Charity Mentorship.

We actively engage and mentor young people in the art of charity, kindness, and good neighbourhood practices through:

  • Hands-on service projects
  • Educational workshops
  • Community dialogue

By participating in our foundation, you become part of reinventing your environment, your immediate neighbourhood, and the wider state. Together, we are building a future where every individual is a positive force, fostering a culture of mutual support and lasting communal strength.
